REFUND POLICY
Due to contractual arrangements with agents and our commitment to artists, as a business we are unable to refund, part-refund or transfer tickets if a customer is unable to attend a show. Nor can we issue credit notes. We can put your whole ticket order on resale* (we cannot split a ticket order into individual parts - see terms below in item 2) or you are welcome to pass your tickets onto someone else - they will need to use your name and reference number to gain entry. However, if a show is cancelled then all ticket holders will be refunded automatically.
1. The Comedy Box does not issue refunds unless a show is cancelled. If an advertised headliner on a multiple act show is unable to appear then we will replace them with an act of equal quality or status - we will notify customers via email of the change of headliner. If you had booked your tickets specifically to see the advertised headliner and you don't wish to see the replacement act then you will be entitled to a refund - your request for a refund must be registered prior to the show taking place. PLEASE NOTE: we will not be able to issue a refund if the compere, support or guest act have been replaced.
2. If you are unable to attend a show for what ever reason we can put your tickets on resale* - request must be put in writing to admin@thecomedybox.co.uk quoting your CBOX or COMX reference number. However, it is always our priority to sell our remaining tickets first before we sell returns. An admin charge of 10% will be deducted from the refund for this service. If we think it is unlikely that we will sell out then we will say so. You will be notified by email if we have successfully resold your ticket. (Alternatively, you always have the option to give your ticket to someone else but please remember that a web ticket contains a unique reference number and can only be presented once at the box office and it is your name they will need to use. If they show up without a ticket they will be refused entry - PLEASE NOTE: Once your tickets are on resale you cannot also pass your tickets to someone else).
3. If you wish to switch dates for the same show containing the same artists at the same venue we'll ask you to re-purchase your tickets for the alternative show then we'll process your refund for the original show. (Switching shows is at our discretion and is dependent on availability). An admin charge of 10% will be deducted from the refund for this service.
*TICKETS ON RESALE
It is important to stress that while we can put tickets on resale for customers who are unable to attend an event, our own remaining unsold tickets will take priority. These unsold tickets include those allocated to an external agency and unused guest tickets by the artist. We are unable to properly assess what tickets have been sold until after the event. If customers choose not to put their tickets on resale they are welcome to pass their ticket order** onto someone else, but tickets cannot be passed on to another person once they are on resale.
** A ticket order refers to the total quantity of tickets made in one order. A ticket order cannot be split into individual tickets.
